At FNAIM Côte d’Azur, things are changing. Yesterday morning, during the handover ceremony, it wasn’t just a new president who was announced, but two.
The new term from 2018 to 2021 will be led by a co-presidency formed by Cyril Messika and William Siksik. They succeed Frédéric Pelou, who served two 3-year terms between 2012 and 2018. And this isn’t the only new development for the federation.
Among the initiatives planned during the term is the development of training through a sales school that will be present in the Alpes-Maritimes.
A satellite branch of the ESI (Higher School of Real Estate) on the future regional campus scheduled for 2019 in Nice Méridia. The duo also plans to offer new services for members.
The FNAIM Lab, a startup incubator, will allow members to access the latest innovations. Access to all legal forms with guided drafting and electronic signatures will be made available to ease the administrative processes for members.
Ensuring some security for consumers and combating unfair competition are also among the objectives highlighted for the 2018 to 2021 term. “The Airbnb platform does not have the same obligations and constraints as real estate professionals. Everyone has the right to work, but regulation is necessary,” explains Cyril Messika, new co-president of FNAIM Côte d’Azur.
The federation is expecting results regarding the proposed Elan law by the government. Indeed, according to this law, property owners will no longer be the only ones penalized. In cases of illegal rental offers, rental platforms can also be penalized. If the listings are not removed, the sites risk fines ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 euros.
