On November 28th and 29th, give to the “Orange Vests” of the Food Bank; a small portion of your groceries can save a family!

banque_alimentaire_collecte.jpg 30 years of solidarity at the national level; 20 years in the Alpes Maritimes; and the Food Bank is still and always compelled to appeal to the public’s generosity to help our most disadvantaged fellow citizens meet their most vital need: eating their fill!

This year again, over 900 volunteers from the Food Bank will take turns on November 28th and 29th in 90 stores in the Alpes Maritimes to call upon the generosity of customers.

But here, no money donations; these volunteers will only ask you for non-perishable food items (canned vegetables, fish or fruit, dry legumes, sugar, coffee, oil, milk, breakfast cereals, biscuits, baby food, …) or hygiene products.

The collected products will be entirely redistributed to the deprived in the department through the network of 115 humanitarian associations and CCAS partners of the Food Bank, spread across 39 municipalities in the Alpes Maritimes.

This collection represents nearly 20% of annual supplies. During the 2013 collection, the inhabitants of the Alpes Maritimes were generous, offering 190 tons of food, equivalent to over 380,000 meals.
