The Nice-born player, who plays for the Tottenham club, was arrested following a routine check at Gloucester Place in the center of the British capital around 2:20 am, a spokesperson for the London police said.
Charged with driving under the influence, he was released on bail and will appear before the Westminster Court on Tuesday, September 11.
