The Nice-Marseille match was halted due to two banners and chants of a homophobic nature on Wednesday at the Allianz Riviera, during the 4th day of Ligue 1, amid efforts to combat these behaviors in the stands.
Referee Clément Turpin stopped the match in the 28th minute, following several warnings from the announcer.
The game resumed about ten minutes later.
