The forum organized will have as its theme: “The changes in tourism and their consequences on the sector, jobs, and training.”

1. Technological revolutions: NFC (Near Field Communication), smartphones, and contactless applications by Mr. Junac, Nice Côte d’Azur, Director of Digital Innovation and New Uses in Nice (9:20 am – 9:50 am)
Presentation of new technologies and their uses for tourism. Active devices and projects for using these new technologies in Nice.
2. Economic changes: yield management and new relationships among tourism actors by Ms. Le Bayon, Air France, Regional Sales Director (9:50 am – 10:20 am)
Presentation, with examples, of yield management, explanation of its “old” practice for airlines, and the new relationships between airlines, distributors, clients, with the case of Air France.

3.2 For travel agencies (11:00 am – 11:30 am)

Resistance of agencies to their “announced” disappearance (the strengths of agencies) and, in the face of technological revolutions, some reluctance to the induced changes? New expectations from agencies regarding training.
3.3 For hotel and restaurant operators (11:30 am – 12:30 pm)

1. Roles and possible strategies for travel agencies confronting new competitors? Current and future applications of technological revolutions in tourism (e.g., MAMAC in Nice and Smart Muse at the Pompidou Center): implications and impacts on operators, training, and tourism professions?
2. Expectations and needs of professionals concerning the renovation of BTS tourism.
* Sought profiles and expected skills of future collaborators?
* The Cityzi smartphone at €1 as an educational and professional tool?
* What modalities for professionalization during training concerning current systems?
» Interest and feasibility of professional actions outside the internship?
» Interest and feasibility of projects outside the internship?
» Appropriate number of internship weeks over the two years?
» Minimum number of internship weeks per sequence?
» To continue supporting young people in their orientation and combat “evaporation” of numbers, interest in starting training with a sequence of job presentations by professionals (which would allow young people to clarify their perceptions of professions and begin to develop or refine a professional project)?
If necessary, during this sequence, classes would be grouped to allow young people to acquire a vision, understanding, and cross-disciplinary and global approach to the tourism sector. This discovery sequence could be complemented by field visits, in groups with teachers.
