OGC Nice confirms having reached a preliminary agreement with Hatem Ben Arfa. The French international will undergo a medical examination on Monday, prior to signing with the Gym.

The club can indeed confirm that a preliminary agreement has been reached with the French international (13 caps and 2 goals). A little twist of fate: it was at Stade du Ray, against Nice, where he made his Ligue 1 debut in 2004.
Convinced by the words of Claude Puel, whom he met before the holidays, and by the ambitions of the club, Ben Arfa (27 years old) has a great opportunity ahead. His arrival, if finalized at the beginning of next week, would also change the Gymโs offensive dynamics. A pure talent, he has been a bearer of promises in every club he has played for, since his revelation at INF Clairefontaine.
First at Lyon, where he continued his progression by contributing to 4 French championship titles, particularly the last one in 2008, with 30 matches played. Then at Marseille, where he played for two seasons (63 Ligue 1 matches) and achieved the double in 2010. Finally, in England, where his flair won the hearts of Magpies fans, before a loan in recent months to Hull City.
