NTIC project manager for the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis and former Director of Publication and Editor-in-Chief of Nice Premium, Franck Viano has many strings to his bow. It’s between his sweet-style Pan Bagnat and his detective novel “My Friend Evil” that the next two weekends will unfold for this true-blue Nissart!
“Weekends like these, I wish I could have more often! Iโm going to try to make the most of them…” confided the author-chef, who will headline the Book and Regional Authors Fair in Toulon, Italy on the Table, and the upcoming Nice Book Festival.
A challenging journey will commence with a signing session, this Saturday, June 1st from 9 am to 6 pm, at the Book and Regional Authors Fair held at Parc de la Coquette in Toulon. Organized by the Effets d’Art association with the cooperation of the Pรฉriclรจs bookstore, the fair aims to promote the talents and cultural works of the PACA region during a day that will be musical (orchestras Les Sunlights and Les clefs dโO) and interactive (authorsโ interviews).
As soon as the next day, Sunday, June 2nd at noon, the amateur chef who won the Nice edition of the show “An Almost Perfect Dinner” will be found at the Italy on the Table fair with a demonstration of the preparation and presentation of the famous โSweet-style Pan Bagnatโ which allowed him to finish at the top of this culinary show. It will be an opportunity for Franck Viano to explain the choice of this recipe and to make a few samples of this new local delight live.
Finally, on the following weekend, one must go to the Nice Book Festival, which this year will be held in Old Nice at the Place Pierre Gautier and the Place Palais de Justice, to hopefully meet the author who will be signing his novel at the La Maison de la Presse stand, on Friday, June 7th, and Sunday, June 9th from 2 pm to 7 pm. It’s an opportunity to also talk about his next novel “Nissart Killer,” whose plot unfolds in the Niรงoise culinary scene with a serial killer who does not appreciate the misrepresentation of Nissarte cuisine.
Two thrilling weekends thus await the Niรงois gourmand author whose heart is always torn between the keyboard and the kitchen range!
