Free on-street parking for Saturdays during lockdown.

Latest News

On Saturday, February 27, and Saturday, March 6, on-street parking will be free. This announcement was made by the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi.

Good news for the people of Nice. The city of Nice has officially announced that on-street parking will be free for the next two Saturdays. “Concerned about not penalizing any residents needing to park their vehicle and in complete alignment with the lockdown decreed for the coastal municipalities of the Alpes-Maritimes over the next two weekends, the City of Nice is establishing free on-street parking on Saturdays, February 27 and March 6,” explained Christian Estrosi, the cityโ€™s mayor. Furthermore, free parking on weekdays from 6 p.m. is being maintained.

This is a way to make life easier for residents during this challenging time. “Free on-street parking was also implemented during the two lockdowns, preventing residents from having to go out to pay for parking,” recalls Christian Estrosi. Thus, the people of Nice will not have to pay for on-street parking during the next two Saturdays. As a reminder, a local lockdown has been put in place for the next two weekends. It will be forbidden to go out from Friday at 6 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m., unless equipped with an exit certificate.
