From June 6 to 8, 2025, access to the buses and trams of the Lignes d’Azur network will be free of charge. The measure aims to facilitate travel on the occasion of the UNOC-3, an international conference held in Nice.

On the occasion of hosting the United Nations Ocean Conference, the City of Nice and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis announce the free access to the entire Lignes d’Azur network from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8. Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Metropolis, presented this decision as a practical response to the mobility challenges related to the event.

“On the occasion of the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3) that our city is proud to host, we wish to optimally support the movements of the people of Nice,” he declared.

This initiative concerns the buses and the three tramway lines. It aims to facilitate travel for residents, visitors, and the many expected delegations. The measure also responds to a desire to limit the carbon footprint of the event.

An enhanced system will be implemented from Friday evening, alongside the scheduled drone show on the waterfront. The frequency of trams will be increased to ensure a smooth return after the festivities. These enhancements will continue throughout the entire Pentecost weekend, until Monday, June 9.

The Metropolis urges the population to prioritize public transportation throughout the duration of the conference. The tramway network will operate as usual. However, adjustments are to be expected on certain bus lines.

All practical information, including schedules and potential route changes, will be communicated on the official Lignes d’Azur website.
