The Spring Banquet of the French Courtesy Côte d’Azur Delegation took place on Sunday, March 29 at the “Lou Castelet” restaurant in Carros.
During this event, under the presidency of Maïté TAVERNA, President of the National and International Association of FRENCH COURTESY and a Knight of the National Order of Merit, the transfer of power occurred between Madame Battina ELOPHE, named Honorary President, and Madame Monique LEBAS who officially takes over as the president of the French Courtesy Côte d’Azur Delegation, with Madame Vivianne COSTA being appointed as Secretary.
The National President, Maïté TAVERNA, presented medals and diplomas. The following were honored:
– Madame Fernande TESTA, Vermeil Medal,
– Madame Monique LEBAS, Silver Medal,
– Madame Vivianne COSTA, Honorary Diploma.
She took the opportunity of this ceremony to highlight the actions carried out by the Association on a national level, particularly in 2007-2008, which included the provision of three guide dogs for the blind and its efforts to promote courtesy in businesses, schools, and driving.
Let us remember that Courtesy is primarily based on mutual respect, thoughtfulness, politeness, good humor, honesty, dignity, and courtesy. It is the art of living in harmony with others regardless of age, religion, or nationality.
