French growth in the second quarter revised up to 1.1% by Insee.

In the second quarter of 2021, the gross domestic product (GDP) in volume rebounds (+1.1%), indicates Insee. It had remained stable in the previous quarter.

Insee had initially announced, at the end of July, a growth of 0.9% in the second quarter, already 0.2% higher than forecast.

The acquired growth for the year 2021, meaning the level it would reach for the whole year if it were null in the third and fourth quarters, is 4.8%, specified Insee. Insee and the government are counting on a growth of 6% for 2021.

In 2020, the French GDP experienced a historic decline of 8% due to the pandemic.
