Latest News

The French Para Alpine Ski Championship will take place in Auron from April 2 to 5, 2025, with three events bringing together around fifty athletes. The competitions will be open to the public and followed online via the social media platforms of the Alpes-Maritimes Handisport Departmental Committee.

From April 2 to 5, 2025, the Auron resort will host the French Para Alpine Ski Handisport Championship. Organized by the Alpes-Maritimes Handisport Departmental Committee, in partnership with the French Handisport Federation and the French Ski Federation, this event will showcase the performance and determination of handisport athletes.

Three events on the program

For four days, around fifty high-level athletes will compete in three disciplines: slalom, giant slalom, and super-G. Competitions will take place every morning from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on the resort’s snow front.

The slalom requires skiers to navigate a winding course where speed and technique are essential. The giant slalom, with wider turns, demands great control over trajectories. Lastly, the super-G, between giant slalom and downhill, is characterized by more open curves and higher speeds.

The organization will mobilize nearly 40 volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the event. In addition to the races, award ceremonies will take place at the Alisier and a gala evening is planned at Rovery Hall by invitation.

How to follow the event?

The public can watch the races from the snow front, with access indicated from the parking lot by the slopes. For those unable to attend in person, results and highlights will be shared live on the social media channels of the Alpes-Maritimes Handisport Departmental Committee.

This event is a unique opportunity to discover handisport skiing and to cheer on these athletes who constantly push their limits.
