A Tuesday marked by two matches concerning the French delegation with Paul-Henri Mathieu facing the American Ryan Harrison, hoping to join the Argentine Berlocq in the round of 16, followed by Gaël Monfils taking on the Colombian Santiago Giraldo. In doubles, Nicolas Mahut partnered with Edouard Roger-Vasselin will be opposed by the tough Australian pair Lleyton Hewitt/Marinko Matosevic.
Two other first-round matches will take place during the day with a cross-Italian duel featuring Fabio Fognini and Marco Cecchinato coming out of the qualifiers. The winner of this match will face the winner of the Monfils-Giraldo duel. A duel of players from the qualifiers will kick off the day from 11 am with the match between the Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky and the Brazilian Rogerio Dutra Silva, who eliminated the Frenchman Romain Jouan at the doorstep of the main draw. At the end of the day, Guillaume Rufin, the only Frenchman from the qualifiers, will challenge one of the many Italian players, Paolo Lorenzi.
On courts 1 and 5, the final draw of the doubles will continue with exciting match-ups on the program, such as the Polish-Iberian confrontation between the pair Andujar/Ramos and the team of Fyrstenberg/Matkowski or the Italian team of Bracciali and Starace attempting to defeat the duo formed by the Swede Brunstorm and the South African Klaasen.
