The Italians were able to discover the 150m² exhibition space dedicated to the Côte d’Azur, organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Nice. On the business side, major companies from the economic and productive sector such as CARI or the Casino Partouche of Beaulieu came to establish business contacts with their transalpine neighbors and present their activities to the public. Other businesses from the Côte d’Azur are highlighted by the Chamber of Trades and the Chamber of Agriculture, who have come to promote French know-how and offer the latest business opportunities. The organization of the conference addressing the pragmatic themes of business creation, the needs of French companies, and the rules of the insurance sector in France confirms the crucial importance of Franco-Italian dialogue for cross-border economic development.
According to Agostino Pesce, Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, “the tourism space dedicated to the Cities of Cagnes-sur-Mer, Grasse, Vence, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Saint Laurent du Var, and Nice has been crowded since its opening. The Côte d’Azur remains the preferred destination for Italians from the North, particularly from the Piedmont Region, which has maintained very close ties with this territory.” The various deputies for tourism of the Côte d’Azur will also come to present their City’s attractions during the conference planned for Wednesday on this topic. French specialties are also in the spotlight thanks to the presence of typical producers of Provence fragrances, Marseille soaps, oils, and culinary specialties from the South East.
In terms of attendance, according to Mr. Barolo, President of the Fair, “many Azuréens visit the exhibition to discover the latest innovations. Design and the automotive sector are always very popular. People come to stroll but also to get new ideas for their daily life, their home decoration, or their next car. Italian gastronomy and wellness always achieve great success.”
The objective of consolidating and increasing economic and cultural relations between the two countries seems to be more than achieved!
