One year after the disaster, March 11th was a time for remembrance. It is time to conclude the initiative started in April 2011 thanks to the artists from the Côte d’Azur, the Museaav, and our partners.
A few additional sales of artworks have taken place within the “One Municipality, One Artwork for Japan” project in recent weeks, but the overall results are expected to be very modest. We will review the outcome with anyone who wishes to join us, including donating artists, buyers, and partners, in the presence of our Japanese friends from ARJNCA.
The closing evening of the Côte d’Azur artists’ initiative for Japan will be held on Wednesday, May 9th at 6 PM at the Museaav.
Evening program: following a video screening, there will be a reading by Emma Laurent: Kawabata’s Elegy, and an improvisation by Merakhaazan on the double bass.
