The Nice students, in partnership with Face06 and the French Red Cross, are organizing a two-part event on April 13 to help victims of the Japanese disasters.
A bouquet of flying lanterns will be sent into the azure sky in tribute to the victims and in support of the survivors of the Japanese people who have gone through and are still going through great catastrophes.
A day in two parts:
Meet at Place Garibaldi from 10 AM to 5 PM to buy flying lanterns as well as t-shirts bearing the image of Japan. Two boxes will be available for you to participate in a raffle: one to show your support, and the other to drop off any donations. All collected funds will be donated to the Red Cross and then directly to Japan.
Meet at Opรฉra Plage at 8:30 PM for the release of flying lanterns. Flickers of hope, solidarity, and sharing will thus twinkle in the Nice sky.
The Nice students, the initiators of this collective solidarity event, truly count on the compassion and participation of as many people as possible, in the shared hope of a new rising Sun for this afflicted country.
