๏€ผ Purpose of the School-Enterprise Week

Founded in 2000 through a joint initiative of the Ministry of National Education and MEDEF, the School-Enterprise Week is now an established part of the annual calendar of events organized in partnership with the professional world.
It falls under the agreement signed on July 19, 2004, between the President of MEDEF and the Minister of National Education, Higher Education, and Research.
The MEDEF of Alpes-Maritimes, the Rectorate of the Nice Academy, and the Academic Inspection of Alpes-Maritimes, with the help of APREEAM, ensure the implementation of the event at the departmental level.
This “Focus” week highlights the existing partnership between businesses and educational institutions and values the actions carried out throughout the school year.

๏€ผObjectives: Developing connections at all levels between education and the workforce

The “School-Enterprise Week” aims to:
โ€“ Improve the mutual understanding between the worlds of education and business.
โ€“ Strengthen existing exchanges and partnerships and encourage new initiatives.
โ€“ Establish a long-term, in-depth dialogue between teachers and business leaders, characterized by openness and reciprocity.

๏€ผThe stakes: Tomorrow’s entrepreneurs are todayโ€™s students

For school administrators, teachers, and business leaders:

  • Create the conditions for a true dialogue, marked by mutual openness.
  • Gain a deep awareness of the constraints related to each profession.
  • Recognize their respective contributions to education and youth training, and subsequently to their integration into active life, in order to act in complementarity.
  • Discuss the main professions and their evolutions.
    For businesses:
  • Spread the entrepreneurial spirit by establishing lasting links between businesses and educational institutions.
  • Introduce students to the world of business and show them its many facets, providing them with a clearer view of the opportunities in business.
  • Raise awareness of both the economic aspect of a business (products, customers, processes, development) and its human aspect (the business as a living entity composed of people with diverse skills and backgrounds).
    For students:
  • Foster an entrepreneurial spirit and promote awareness of the positive values of business as a place of wealth creation and personal development.
  • Motivate them and increase their desire to learn, facilitating their transition into active life.
  • Help them better inform and orient themselves by providing a clearer understanding of business challenges and operations.

The Union for Enterprise in Alpes-Maritimes (UPE 06), the Rectorate of Nice, the Academic Inspection of Alpes-Maritimes, and the APREEAM have joined forces for the eleventh consecutive year to encourage entrepreneurs and employees to participate in this week of meetings and exchanges in the department’s colleges and high schools. This initiative also highlights the partnership action between educational institutions and businesses carried out throughout the year.

This edition of the “School-Enterprise Week” is themed “Entrepreneurship through a civic approach from School to Business.”

GUIDING THREAD “BUSINESS AND CITIZENSHIP”

“The large-scale development of corporate citizenship or social responsibility did not emerge until the 1990s. It is the result of a profound change in mentality, both in businesses and among consumers. The corporate citizen must revise its long-term development strategy to integrate new ecological and social criteria. The corporate citizen is responsible, meaning it must be accountable for its actions to all who contribute to it: suppliers, shareholders, employees, clients, community, natural environment, and must commit to growing harmoniously with the world around it.”

โ€ข The Forum
Several institutions will contribute by sharing their experiences with ongoing or future actions focused on Citizenship.
A synthesis of the initiatives undertaken will be presented.

โ€ข Company Visits
Six companies and six educational institutions will be paired for on-site visits.
Leaders will exchange and demonstrate their commitment to students on this topic.
The goal is to help them understand citizenship as a vital element of business life and allow students to see how businesses evolve.

โ€ข The Challenge
Six institutions will compete for the “School-Enterprise Week” Trophy.
Each team will submit a file containing an operational summary and a three-minute PowerPoint presentation. A jury will deliberate to select the top three projects.
