From the street to Parliament, alternative movements appeal to social anger.

The inter-union and “leftist” movements have issued the call: it is in front of Sacha Sosno’s Tรชte Carrรฉe in Nice that the departmental rally takes place today at 2 PM to say no to the Labor Law reform. After marching through the streets of Nice, the parade will conclude its walk at the forecourt of Thiers Station.

For the “leftists,” there is no possible compromise: this project, which they see as the reversal of legal standards in labor law, must be abandoned.

The verdict is unequivocal: “The El Khomri project is all for the MEDEF, a return to the all-powerful employer and nothing for the employees, the youth, the precarious.”

The stirring slogans we thought belonged to another time are, on the contrary, back in vogue: “Massive demonstrations on March 31 are essential to create the necessary balance of power to get the government to withdraw its bill.”

Beyond the opposition to this law, the dynamic of this protest is moving towards “another policy is possible and essential to fight against unemployment and precariousness.”

The recipe is simple: “Creating jobs is possible by returning to 35 hoursโ€”without salary reductionโ€”and moving towards 32 hours, stopping austerity policies, and ending the financialization of the economy.”

How? One, two, three, here’s the magic: “Develop the public health service, initiate the ecological transition of the economy, encourage the employee takeover of companies in the form of cooperatives.”

The call is prescriptive: “Everyone in the streets on March 31 to enable the rise of social anger.”

Given the escapade of these pseudo-revolutionaries, let’s hope the weather is lenient.
