Full house for the interview-debate on the theme “Women and the Nectar of the Gods” organized by Liana Marabini at her bookstore SCRIPTA MANENT.

The stars of the evening, including the manuscripts and old books displayed for the occasion, were three women who have a passionate relationship with wine, as they testified during the meeting: Laura Marsotto, a sommelier, who, driven by curiosity initially, later by passion, made it her profession; Franรงoise Rigord Cornu, a winegrower and promoter of rosรฉ wine, now a symbol of Southern France; and in her thirties, Francesca Negri from Trento, who, as a journalist specializing in oenology, blends statistics into her novels, elegantly transitioning to tastings shared on her blog for years.

During the meeting, it emerged that women have struggled to establish themselves in the professional field as connoisseurs in oenology. There were also interesting insights into the relationship between wine and territory, with a focus on the evolving preferences that differ between men and women in terms of wine experience: more materialism (men) than emotions (women).

The event, the first in a long series of meetings scheduled at the SCRIPTA MANENT Bookstore in Monaco and the Grand Hรดtel des Ambassadeurs in Menton, took place in the presence of the Italian ambassador to Monaco, Gallo Christian, and actor Remo Girone accompanied by Victoria, his wife.
