In this film where Eric Elmosnino portrays the singer who dared to give a reggae rhythm to The Marseillaise, a certain poetry settles on these scenes. It’s beautiful, what am I saying, it’s a magnificent film. Joann Sfar restores to Gainsbourg, this image of an artist with a capital A. He sensitively evokes the French myth.
In this tale, actor Eric Elmosnino portrays a Serge Gainsbourg truer than life. We find Laeticia Casta in the role of Brigitte Bardot, and Lucy Gordon as Jane Birkin. Two magnificent actresses. Lucy Gordon will not see this film. This young 29-year-old Englishwoman extinguished her light on the night of Tuesday 19 to Wednesday 20 May 2009.
