The Education Without Borders Network organized a gathering at Place Masséna to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Created in 2004 by parents and teachers outraged by the police intrusion to arrest children in schools, RESF has multiplied its actions over the past ten years: civic resistance, demonstrations, sponsorships, and vigils.
About 80 activists gathered at Place Masséna yesterday, forming a human chain on both sides of the tramway track, in silence, with messages of support for children threatened with deportation, among others. A banner was unfurled, along with posters.
In the background, lyrical songs and messages to the government were broadcast, alongside the distribution of leaflets.
