Since the decision of the Court of Cassation on April 14, confirming the criminal irresponsibility of Sarah Halimi’s murderer, intense emotion and anger have gripped the Jewish community and, we want to believe, the national community.
At the call of cultural and religious associations of this faith, a protest took place in major French cities to demand a change in the law that prompted the Court’s judgment and that has stirred public opinion.
In Nice, several hundred people marched and symbolically gathered in front of the Palace of Justice to show their solidarity and express their rejection of all forms of anti-Semitism.
