Last night, the association Les Ouvreurs and its president Benoรฎt Arnulf presented the opening night of the 8th edition of the Nice Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, an essential cinematic event focused on sexual diversity.
For the first time, In&Out kicked off the festivities at the Francis Gag Theatre, in the heart of Old Nice. It was the ideal venue to discover the very moving opening Kenyan film, STORIES OF OUR LIVES*.
This year, the icons who have left a mark on gay culture are celebrated with the screening of 38 films until April 27.
After questioning in 2015 the risks of marginalization for cultures claiming to be “gay and lesbian,” the 2016 festival aims to continue its reflection on the means of transmitting these same cultures. The official theme: the twilight of the idols.
Note that all donations and proceeds from this wonderful evening will be donated to actions combating sexist and homophobic discrimination, led by Les Ouvreurs and SIS Animation.
