Brigitte Henriques, the current vice-president of the French Football Federation, has been elected as the president of the CNOSF with 57.87% of the votes cast. She succeeds Denis Masseglia, who led the organization for 12 years, becoming the first woman to hold this position since its creation in 1972.

Philippe Manassero, president of the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee and member of the executive board of the CROS Provence Alpes Cรดte dโ€™Azur, has been elected to the CNOSF board of directors as a representative of the French CDOS. Alongside him, two other members from the region have been elected: ร‰ric Tanguy, president of the FF Volleyball, who was re-elected, and Sophie Chipon from Mandelieu, from the French Hiking Federation.

Already very active at the departmental level, where he passionately advocates for the “sport and territory” plan of the CNOSF within the CDOS, Philippe Manassero, a former firefighter officer and ex-international basketball referee, will contribute to the important decision-making of the French sports movement with the board members. He will actively participate in efforts to ensure that the French nation becomes a true sporting nation, with the common thread being Paris 2024.

Following the election, Philippe Manassero declared, “I would like to congratulate Brigitte Henriques for this brilliant and historic election. I am honored and proud to have first been elected by the CDOS presidents to represent them and then by the 108 federations. I am ready to work for the territories, which do a remarkable job every day, closely collaborating with the committees and clubs.”
