Monday, April 23, 2012, Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, will receive Joe Kalsecz, a paraplegic athlete, to express the support of the Departmental Assembly.
Joe Kalsecz, a distinguished athlete, committed to fighting illness
Joe Kalsecz, a paraplegic athlete, has achieved many feats to raise awareness among the general public, the media, and professionals about medical research on the spinal cord.
A competitor at heart, he recently traveled from Le Havre to Menton in seven months using pendular walking and participated, among others, in the “No Finish Line” in Monaco and the Marathon of Alpes-Maritimes in a hand-bike.
The General Council, supporting the achievements of Joe Kalsecz
On the occasion of this presentation, the Department’s medal will be awarded to this exceptional athlete. Eric CIOTTI will also announce the support of the General Council to encourage him in his next challenge: climbing the 1,665 steps of the Eiffel Tower!
