“Get in the Ring” is an international competition, supported by the Kauffman Foundation, which aims to connect high-potential startups with international investors.
Since its inception in 2012, “Get in the Ring” has taken place in 80 countries through 130 events, with 10,000 startups participating.
The first French edition will therefore be held in Nice.
The originality of this event lies in its unconventional format: a ring on which several dozen startup leaders (categorized based on their valuation) will enter two by two to compete in a battle by category. The goal: to knock out their opponent!
The “battles” are divided into 5 rounds, during which entrepreneurs present their companies, achievements, business models, and teams… before facing questions and remarks from the jury composed of investors. The rest of the audience is made up of a community of fans who support their challenger.
The winners of each category, who have been convincing, inventive, and original in winning over the jury, will participate, all expenses paid, in the European final of “Get in the Ring” in Greece on January 24th, and possibly on March 14, 2016, in the global final to win numerous prizes of up to $500,000!
