Silver for the girls at the French Championships last week and gold this week at the World Championships. Rowing from Nice is on cloud nine!
With a series of successes throughout the year and the selection of Elodie RAVERA-SCARAMOZZINO reaching the finals of the Olympics, the competitive section of the Nice Rowing Club ends the year 2016 on a high note.
In the coxed quadruple sculls, the French team with three athletes from Nice dominated the race.
Coxed by Mégane BESSON, Elodie RAVERA-SCARAMOZZINO, Sophia CORNEILLE, along with Flavie BAHUAUD and Alice MAYNE, left no chance for their competitors.
Taking control of this A final from the start of the race, they established an undeniable domination throughout the course.
With a significant lead, they crossed the finish line, clinching gold ahead of the Russian crew followed by the Spanish team.
