Gold medal at the European Rowing Championships for the Nice natives Elodie Ravera-Scaramozzino and Hélène Lefebvre in the women’s double sculls.

With a time of 6:55.99, the two French women outperformed the Netherlands (+0:30) and Lithuania (+0:55).

Aged 22 and 27 respectively, they claimed their first international title on Saturday, as well as their first medal at the senior level.

At the Rio Olympics two years ago, Elodie Ravera-Scaramozzino and Hélène Lefebvre finished fifth in their final.

Then, they placed sixth in the World Championship final last year.
