GPA Jump Festival: A Second Edition in Continuity

Latest News

Nearly six months after its grand premiere (March 25-April 6), the GPA Jump Festival returns from October 8 to 19 at the racetrack of Cagnes-sur-Mer. This second edition, marking the closure of the outdoor jumping program, will be under the sign of confirmation after the success of the inauguration. Over 12 days, more than 500 horses and 200 riders will compete in about sixty events.

gpa_jump.jpg An exceptional site a few steps from the sea, two arenas recognized for their high quality, the GPA Jump Festival has everything to become an essential event of international jumping in the medium-term. For the second edition, the organizers want continuity and are repeating what worked well during the first edition: the closeness of the public with free entry, competitions for professionals and amateurs…

Over 12 days, on the two arenas installed inside the tracks of the Cagnes-sur-Mer racetrack, more than 60 events will bring together 200 riders from all over Europe and nearly 500 horses, which is half as many as last March-April, due to the end of the outdoor season.

“We want to continue this event on this exceptional site made available. This date must become unmissable in the years to come. The riders who come praise the site; it is incomparable!” explained Jean Gallo, president of Cagnes Equi Events.

This jumping event would not exist without the presence of two major partners: GPA, a globally known brand in the equestrian field for its accessories and clothing for riders, and l’Etrier de Barbossi, an equestrian center located in Cannes-Mandelieu.

“This event is a mix of boldness and ambition by Jean-Michel Costamagna (Promoter of the GPA Jump Festival). The Barbossi Domain wants to continue writing this adventure that combines quality and conviviality,” admitted Coralie Rollin, the manager of the event’s partner equestrian center.

As with the first edition, personalities are expected at different events: Guillaume Canet, who appreciated the conditions and events last March, and Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Caroline of Monaco and partner of Gad Elmaleh.
