Beyond the iconic Paris-Nice and the start of the Tour de France, 2020 will mark a new era for cycling in the Alpes-Maritimes with an intense and diverse range of events.
Major road races or thrilling mountain biking events, and even an unprecedented Gravel Bike race bridging the gap between road cycling and mountain biking. They will have the support of the Departmental Council.
Three world champions from different cycling disciplines will honor the events with their presence: Thor Hushovd, world road cycling champion in 2010, Nicolas Vouilloz, 10-time world champion in downhill mountain biking, and Loïc Bruni, now a four-time downhill world champion.
A Tribute to Poupou
In November, the French cycling world lost one of its most iconic figures, Raymond Poulidor. A tribute will be paid to him during this Great Cycling Evening.
