On Thursday, May 23, 2024, starting at 2:30 PM, the Jardin des Arรจnes de Cimiez in Nice will host a festive event in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Nice and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. On this occasion, the City of Nice is organizing a grand picnic followed by a guinguette-style dance specifically dedicated to seniors.
From 12:00 PM, the 300 expected participants can gather in the beautiful setting of the Jardin des Arรจnes de Cimiez. Guests will enjoy a lunch in the shade of the olive trees, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The day will be enlivened by musical entertainment themed around the 1940s, orchestrated by Gilles Roche and his talented dancers, thus recreating the atmosphere of yesteryear.
After dessert, the dance will commence, led by Pascal Palomba, an entertainer, singer, and saxophonist. This dancing afternoon promises to immerse participants in the spirit of the guinguettes of old, promoting joie de vivre and intergenerational exchanges.
