Despite the gloomy weather, the running day unfolded in the best way possible with both the “competition” side and the “festive” and sometimes folkloric side.
The 9000 participants – from all categories – covered the various distances* with evident pleasure and demonstrated that the Olympic spirit, so dear to Baron De Coubertin, can be portrayed if only we give it a chance: participating and winning are not mutually exclusive but truly complementary.
Thank you to the runners for reminding us of this on a morning where the word “SPORT” carried its full meaning.
