Metz defeated Nice on their home ground during the first leg of the quarter-finals of the French Championship (21-19).
The team from Lorraine emerged from a tight match (11-10 at halftime), where the opponent had a blazing Alexandra Lacrabรจre (9 goals) in their ranks.
They managed to create a small lead in the second period (20-16, 55th minute) before seeing the team from the Cรดte d’Azur come back to within one point (20-19) with less than a minute remaining.
Liscevic sealed the victory with a goal 7 seconds before the end.
The return leg will take place in Metz on Thursday, May 7.
