Early in the match, Marjan Kolev’s players took the lead thanks notably to the Swedish international Linnea Torstenson (6 goals in 57 minutes of play). With a 5-goal lead just before halftime, largely due to the explosive Caroline Valente, who scored 4 goals in the first 25 minutes, the girls challenged the visitors’ defense. The only downside in this match was the lapse at the end of the first period, bringing Nantes back within 3 goals (13-10).
