Tonight, the 2015-2016 season will kick off with OGC Nice Handball hosting the French champions of Fleury-Loiret at the Charles Erhmann Sports Hall (8:30 PM).
The team from Nice, which recruited during the off-season to improve their quality level, will be playing without Clรฉopรขtre Darleux, the goalkeeper, and Alexandra Lacrabรจre, the right back, both members of the French national team, who are injured. They will face the Loiret club, which will start this new saga wearing the favorites’ badge in front of the traditional rivals, Issy-Paris of course, and the imposing Metz team with its 19 titles, aspiring rightfully to the 20th.
For the Nice team, the journey will be more challenging, but the group, just like the players, showed last season and during the preparation that they should be counted on every match day. A loss against Fleury wouldn’t be a scandal, whereas a victory would be more than a bonus to start this new season.
During the championship presentation, Nice defender Bรฉatrice Edwige was named in the top team of last season.
