Although on a good streak, the players of OGC Nice could only manage a draw against the valiant newly-promoted team Bourg-de-Péage, who are nevertheless second to last.
The start of the match was rather tight, but the Nice players took a two-goal lead by halftime (14-12).
Their dominance grew, and they even gained a 4-goal lead after a 7-meter throw by Schumacher (21-17).
Unfortunately, the players of Bourg-de-Péage caught up in the latter part of the second half. Just when it seemed that another 7-meter throw by Torstenson would secure victory for Nice, Barthelemy scored with 4 seconds remaining, allowing his team to clinch a draw.
Nice is now in 3rd place, 3 points behind Brest.
