Handball (play-downs): The Aiglonnes remain in D1

Latest News

Thanks to a convincing away victory at Celle, OGC Nice has the right to remain in D1. A positive conclusion after a disappointing season in more ways than one.

Celle was playing their last joker, but the Nice team was not willing to make concessions: by halftime, they had a substantial lead (16-10) and, as a result, the match was decided.

In the second half, the red-and-black team could control the rest without forcing or taking risks: final score, 28-21.

Standing out among the Nice players were Palsdottir with 9 goals, Abdelmalek with 8, and Schumacher with 7.

In goal, Saho is credited with saving 13 out of 34 shots.

The Nice team will be exempt from Game Day 4, before returning to the court before the holidays, for the final two matches of the season.
