For the 18th day of the French second division championship, the ASPTT Nice women easily defeated Mérignac (35-28) at home, at the Eucalyptus gymnasium.
This victory doesn’t change the overall standings as the Nice team remains in fourth place, with the top three teams (Bègles, Octeville, and Noisy-le-Grand) also winning their respective matches. However, this result gives hope to Franck Bulleux’s players to join the race for promotion to the first division.
Next up: a tricky away game at Celles-sur-Belle, on Sunday, April 3 (as a reminder, Nice lost the first leg at home 25-28).
