Handisport: ANICES…10 years already!

Latest News

Sébastien Filippini, founder and president of the association, agreed to answer questions from Nice Premium to discuss the year 2017, synonymous with 10 years for his association, ANICES.

What wishes do you have for your members in 2017?

Above all, I wish them to be in good health, to be happy, and to experience beautiful sporting sensations surrounded by friends.

Conversely, what can we wish for you?

The same thing!

What are your objectives for 2017? Last year was busy, notably with the first international torball tournament, which brought together more than 450 people in November, as well as your first participation, in the relay, at the Nice-Cannes marathon.

Yes, 2016 was a great year for ANICES with a superb torball event: The International Nations Tournament which left a lasting impression with the finals attended by over 250 supporters in the stands and nearly 450 spectators over the weekend.
The end of the year was also marked by the beautiful Nice-Cannes marathon as a team with visually impaired athletes and association wheelchair athletes.
For 2017, our objectives are to continue allowing our members to engage in sporting and cultural activities while always keeping in mind the values of ANICES: Exchange, Sharing, and Diversity!

This year 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the association, have you planned something special for this anniversary?

The whole year will be a celebration, but to properly commemorate the first decade of ANICES, we are organizing a summer sliding sports camp for visually impaired individuals from around the world. This event will start on July 24th and will conclude on July 29th with a huge evening with all the friends of ANICES!

In terms of sports, are you hoping for any particular titles this year? Performances in specific events?

Of course, we wish for plenty of titles, but in the world of torball, we hope that the men’s teams maintain their division standings (Team One in N1, Team Two in N3, and Team Three in N4) and for the women’s team, a podium position for their N1 Challenge!
Regarding parasnowboarding, Maxime Montaggioni is working hard for a selection to the Winter Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang (South Korea) in 2018!
In athletics, our visually impaired athlete Olivier Rollin is training for his first marathon in November 2017.
For all other disciplines, showdown, blind tennis, rifle shooting… we wish them to reach the highest possible level and to always enjoy competing.
