This Tuesday, the Junior Chamber International of Nice Côte d’Azur inaugurated its new president, Jérôme Brémond. The elected officials took turns offering their well-wishes for good health to JCI.
A short film was presented to recount JCI’s activities during 2013. The outgoing president, Ferjani Neffati, also delivered a closing speech while wishing his successor good luck.
The occasion was a good opportunity to ask a few questions to the new president, Jérôme Brémond:
Can you introduce yourself briefly?
I am 35 years old, married, and have two children. I am a chartered accountant and joined the organization in 2009. I have been the head of communication and twice vice-president.
Why did you choose this association to get involved in?
I discovered it thanks to a partner. I knew the president and a member, which encouraged me to get involved. Once you get into it, you’re captivated. It’s a very convivial environment, and the actions taken are dynamic and always aimed at evolving our territory. Personally, it even relates to my professional activity. I liked it right away and progressed through the stages to be where I am today.
Will you bring a personal touch to the presidency, or will you follow a logic of continuity?
Continuity is our watchword! JCI has existed for 61 years, and the principle is to benefit from all the experience accumulated thus far. We always rely on the advice of former members. However, I will try to bring dynamism and my way of seeing things. But we will always have a collective vision.
What are the objectives for the year 2014?
We always want to develop more and thus recruit new members. This is one of our objectives. Then we have five actions we want to lead effectively. There is food waste and the doggy bag for Nice restaurants.
Next, we want to develop young people’s career guidance, eco-responsibility, and business creation.
