The Hard Rock Café celebrated its 44th international anniversary since the opening of its first restaurant in London in 1971. This was an opportunity for American burger enthusiasts to come and have lunch for only 71 cents. A price similar to what was displayed on menus in the 1970s and a nod to the birth of the neo-American chain.
On the Promenade des Anglais, curious visitors came to line up to taste one of the 9 burgers offered on the menu.
Thanks to its “World Burger Tour” menu, guests could discover a mix of flavors and ingredients used in different Hard Rock Cafés around the world.
But to get a seat, it was a battle. Some waited nearly 2 hours while others didn’t hesitate to come earlier to ensure a “front-row seat.” An exceptional enthusiasm where nearly 400 people waited under sweltering heat to be sure to secure the coveted prize.
If those at the end of the line had a small scare, worried they wouldn’t be able to get in on time (offer from 12 to 1 PM). The deadline was finally pushed back to the delight of these “starving” individuals.
