Each year, underprivileged children go to school but do not have the required school supplies. Their parents, often undocumented or asylum seekers, do not receive the back-to-school allowance and cannot afford to buy the necessary school supplies for the start of the school year.
Last year, donations and the collection drive allowed 463 children to receive a basic supply kit (pencil case, notebook, pen, pencil, markers, eraser, ruler, etc.).
This year, a new partner, Vallรฉes solidaires, has joined and is co-organizing the collection.
Donors have two options: bring new or used supplies or make an online donation that will allow for the purchase of new supplies to be distributed to the children.
List of the most sought-after supplies: school bags and backpacks, calculators for middle and high school, dictionaries, 24ร32 notebooks, notebook covers, large binders and dividers, Canson paper, elastic folders, display books, markers and highlighters, compasses, geometry kits, scissors, glue sticks, single and double sheets, ballpoint pens of all colors, pencils, and… face masks!

– In Nice (6 rue Balatchano โ Tel. 06 80 50 98 88): On August 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, and 30th in the morning from 9 am
– In Cannes (40 rue Jean Gras, building Le Cรฉzanne C, Cannes La Bocca โ panel “Cannes ร vous”, at the corner of Joseph Flory and Bosquet streets โ Tel. 06 20 51 33 38): Monday, August 30th from 3 pm to 7 pm
– In Antibes (10 rue Pasteur โ Tel. 06.25.54.51.18): Wednesday, August 25th from 5 pm
– In Menton (14 rue des sลurs Munet โ Tel. 06 10 13 22 00): Wednesday, August 25th from 5:30 pm
The distribution of supplies to families will be organized (in compliance with health measures): on Wednesday, September 1st from 2 to 5 pm and on Saturday, September 4th from 10 am to 12 pm at the PCF premises in Cannes and Nice.
