Météo-France is forecasting episodes of very high temperatures until the beginning of next week, with the possibility of worsening temperatures over the weekend.
The Ministry of Health wishes to remind vulnerable people (seniors over 65, individuals with disabilities or illnesses at home, and dependent people) as well as parents of infants and young children of the main advice to follow during a heatwave:
- Avoid going outside during the hottest hours and engaging in physical activity;
- If you need to go out, wear a hat and light, loose-fitting clothing;
- Keep your home cool (close windows and shutters during the day, open them in the evening and night if it’s cooler);
- Drink water regularly and frequently without waiting to feel thirsty;
- Cool yourself down and wet your body or at least your face and forearms several times a day;
- If possible, spend 2 to 3 hours a day in a cool place (shopping mall, cinema, municipal library, etc.);
- Remember to check in regularly with your loved ones.
