Météo France has placed the Alpes-Maritimes department under an ORANGE weather alert in anticipation of intense heat over several consecutive days.
The maximum temperatures are expected to reach an average of 35°C during the day, with nighttime temperatures reaching an average of 24°C until the end of the week.
The prefecture has alerted all the mayors and health services of the department, as well as day care centers and accommodation centers.
The following preventive measures have been immediately implemented:
– monitoring of healthcare availability with local doctors,
- organizing the reception of at-risk individuals in cooled premises.
The prefecture reminds everyone to adhere to prevention advice and to report any person in danger around them.
