The La Coupole Cultural Center will be the venue for the highlights of the event.

There will be two highlights of this day:
The 1960s and the artists of the Cรดte dโAzur seen through the eyes of Mario Brun, a native of Gaudois and a grand reporter at Nice Matin.
This Gaudois individual knew the greatest artists, from Soutine, when he was a teenager, to Picasso or Colette when they lived on the Cรดte dโAzur.
He was especially a personal friend of Jean Cocteau, whose fiftieth anniversary of passing is celebrated in 2013, with whom he exchanged fascinating correspondence in more than 80 letters still kept in the family archives of La Gaude.
This presentation of the bright Cรดte dโAzur of the 1960s and the exceptional and little-known exchanges with one of the greatest poets of the 20th century will be given by lecturer Alex Benvenuto, in the presence of Claude Brun, a lecturer at the University of Nice and a member of the editorial committee of Sourgentin.
And the demonstration of the Mourra Game after the mayor unveils the new plaque highlighting the stone Mourra game bench of the Marronnier square. This game bench dates from the last century and is unique in the department.
The principle of this game: โThe partners, sitting face to face, throw their hand while shouting a number between 0 and 10. This number is the supposed total of the two hands. The point is won when the total number of fingers shown by the two players equals the announced number. This game dates back to ancient times and is played around the Mediterranean basin. It is still practiced in the County of Nice.โ
An astounding presentation and initiation of the Mourra game will be proposed by Pascal Colletta’s association, โMourra dei quatre cantoun.โ
