This past Sunday, right-wing radicals from the region met with the national president Laurent Henart, mayor of Nancy, to discuss the future of their group.
During this meeting, representatives from the region’s departmental federations elected Hervé CAEL as the regional coordinator for Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur of the Radical Party.
The Executive Committee decided to begin a reunification process with the Left Radicals. A major joint event has been scheduled for September 16 and 17 in the form of the “Summer Days of Radicalism and Progressives” in Montpellier.
The unification of the radical families should not merely be an act of ideological coherence or simply a consequence of an extraordinary political situation resulting from the presidential and legislative elections.
It aims to implement a foundational act in a novel context of political landscape reshuffling, resolutely oriented toward the future and action, with a broader perspective of uniting all Progressives.
