The HI hotel, a design establishment of the Hi life group designed by Matali Crasset, has proudly displayed its 4* status since July 29, 2011.
Dusting off the hotel codes dating from 1986, Hervé Novelli, the Secretary of State in charge of tourism, decided in February 2010 to give better visibility to unconventional hotels.
4* hotels can now be both stylish and unconventional while including the necessary comfort for a luxury clientele.
Thanks to this classification, the HI hotel can today participate in the promotion of the city of Nice abroad by being listed in the tourist office guide.
- The foundations of the new hotel classification
Decisively client-oriented, the new hotel classification framework allows for the consideration of more than 240 control points organized into four areas: equipment, customer services, accessibility, and sustainable development.
Each control point is assigned a weighting and is characterized as “mandatory” or “à la carte” depending on the classification category. To be classified in a given category, a hotel must obtain a minimum number of “mandatory” and “à la carte” points.
