November 19 – January 16, 2010
Opening on Thursday, November 18 at 6 PM
โYou are hereโ: everyone is familiar with this phrase found on many city or neighborhood maps. The title of the exhibition, HIC, refers to the HERE of localization and its contemporary techniques, which is the theme of the research conducted over two years by a team of professors, artists, and students from the Villa Arson, the School of Fine Arts of Lyon, and that of Montpellier. It is about finding one’s way or getting lost in new narrative, Riemannian, transcendent, or video spaces that may be replacing the perspective space whose classical age had left us the legacy of its axes and ordinates. It is thus about exploring the NUNC (= NOW).
