High school student protests: City Hall and Education Authority increase vigilance

Latest News

After another day of demonstrations, incidents, and the blockage of high schools in Nice, the elected officials of the Nice City Hall met with Emmanuel Ethis, the rector of the Academy, accompanied by his staff, and the principals to discuss the issues faced by each institution.

Christian Estrosi took this opportunity “to commend the composure of all the principals in the face of these demonstrations, in the face of threats at times, and all the difficult situations they had to deal with.”

This meeting enabled the announcement of the implementation of an effective communication system to contact the municipal police and city services. A unique number is being put in place for the principals.

The City Hall offered the principals the immediate provision of alert buttons connected to the urban supervision center, similar to those already available to the directors of Nice schools.
