Hippodrome of the Côte d’Azur: Great Day of Jumps Racing

Latest News

On Sunday, January 8th, seven magnificent and spectacular obstacle races will foreshadow the closing of the Obstacle Meeting (which will conclude on January 12th) with the Grand Prix of the City of Nice (Grand Steeple Chase, Group III over 4,600 meters), richly endowed, the Grande Course de Haies de Cagnes, the Prix Christian de l’Hermite (Grand Steeple-Chase for 4-year-olds), and the Prix André Masséna (Grande Course de Haies for 4-year-olds).

Experts will have their eyes on WUTZELINE, last year’s winner of the Grand Prix of the City of Nice and also unbeaten at the Hippodrome Côte d’Azur in 13 other obstacle races.

– Activities around the EPIPHANY…

Activities around the Epiphany festival will enhance the afternoon: gourmet tastings, the arrival of the Magi, winning beans…

The arrival of the Magi… a first at the Hippodrome Côte d’Azur
Who doesn’t know the story of the Magi, Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar, who came from the East guided by the light of a star, honoring the Child Jesus in the manger with gifts worthy of a king. Although not bringing gold, myrrh, and frankincense, they will certainly bring good cheer, a festive spirit, and gifts to the Hippodrome Côte d’Azur on this Sunday afternoon, bringing together families eager to celebrate Epiphany. Richly dressed, they will arrive with camels and dromedaries, loaded with gifts… they will parade, escorted by musicians and followed by ponies.

The musicians from the group “Lords of Swing” will enhance the afternoon with swing and jazz vibes.
